Calendar of Events
From the national award winning California Strawberry Festival in May to the spicy Salsa Festival in July, Oxnard sure knows how to celebrate! Every season brings its own calendar of events and programs!
Whale watching season runs from late December through mid-April with the Celebration of Whales in March. Annually Oxnard hosts International Restaurant Week in January. Summer-time brings free outdoor summer concerts, air shows, car shows and festivals of every flavor. The Autumn Historic Home Tour arrives in September, and then in December ... it's all about lights! The Parade of Lights in the harbor, Christmas Tree Lane in Oxnard's historic district, and the Winter Fantasy & Light Show in downtown Oxnard.

More than 6 trucks are scheduled to appear on the FIRST THURSDAYS of each month and will be in the parking lots of Heritage Square from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by a DJ along with special appearances by Roller Derby stars, adding to the party ambiance.

VCMM MODEL GUILD SHOW AND SALE - The Ventura County Maritime Museum Model Guild is having its annual show and sale from Dec 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012. The guild members make these beautiful models some of which are for sale. There will also be model kits available for sale for those who would like to try their hand at building a ship model. Guild members will be there to demonstrate model building at various times on Saturdays and Sundays and there will be a FREE Boat-in-a-Bottle class from 11am-2pm on Dec 3 & 4 and 10 & 11.

The Elite Theatre's Thrid Annual One-Act Festival is a collection of 5 one-act plays, winners of the One-Act Competition. The 5 unpublished plays are a combination of comedies and dramas, each performed in 5-20 minutes.
