From the national award winning California Strawberry Festival in May to the spicy Salsa Festival in July, Oxnard sure knows how to celebrate! Every season brings its own calendar of events and programs!
Whale watching season runs from late December through mid-April with the Celebration of Whales in March. Annually Oxnard hosts International Restaurant Week in January. Summer-time brings free outdoor summer concerts, air shows, car shows and festivals of every flavor. The Autumn Historic Home Tour arrives in September, and then in December ... it's all about lights! The Parade of Lights in the harbor, Christmas Tree Lane in Oxnard's historic district, and the Winter Fantasy & Light Show in downtown Oxnard.

NAUTICA 2013 PRESENTED BY CHANNEL ISLANDS MARITIME MUSEUM CONTEMPORARY MARINE ART EXHIBIT - See art by Ventura County’s outstanding artists presented in our newly opened 2nd deck gallery. Exhibit runs from May 3 to July 1, 2013 Awards Reception: 4-6 pm, Saturday, May 11, 2013. Come and meet the artists, and enjoy some refreshments. The awards will be presented at 5:00 pm. Entry is free to the Awards Reception. Admission: $5 Adults, $4 Seniors (62+), $2 Children (6-17). Entrance is free with membership. Admission is free the third Thursday of every month.

Strawberries galore and more are in store at this annual festival held at the Strawberry Meadows of College Park in Oxnard. Ranking among the top Festivals in the nation, the fruitful celebration boasts strawberries every way imaginable, along with all day fun for the entire family with concert performances, the Strawberry Promenade with celebrity cooking demonstrations, more than 250 Fine Arts & Crafts booths, Strawberryland For Kids with rides and attractions, gooey contests, special appearances, and more.
The event has helped raise over $4 million for various Southland charities while paying tribute to the region’s agricultural heritage and winning award recognition for its recycling and “green” policies that began in 2001. Oxnard is located 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara.
The free Park & Ride “Strawberry Express” shuttles from convenient locations off the 101 Fwy make getting to the Festival a breeze. Amtrak offers special Festival weekend discount rates (shuttles meet the trains). Parking is also available for $10 on site at Strawberry Meadows of College Park (3250 S. Rose Avenue in Oxnard).
