Oxnard City-Wide Brand Project
Thank you for Participating in creating a destination brand for Oxnard!
The Oxnard Convention and Visitors Bureau conducted a multi-year effort to find an identifying theme for Oxnard that can be used to promote local businesses, attract visitors, and set our community apart from other coastal Southern California cities. After many interviews with local leaders, several interactive community forums and an on-line survey, the recommended brand for the City of Oxnard is:
TO BE A DESTINATION THAT CREATIVELY CELEBRATES
INTERNATIONAL CULTURE
The Brand will be distinguished by the following principles:
Cultural Diversity: We celebrate the variety of cultural and ethnic heritages in Oxnard.
Respect for Land: Preservation and stewardship of open space, environmental resources and agricultural uses is a priority for our community.
Family and Relationships: Building, sustaining and enhancing relationships is an important part of who we are.
Interactive Experiences: We promote these principles through activities, events and education that make Oxnard a unique place to live and visit.
Our goal is to make Oxnard the preferred public gathering place in the region because:
- It inspires through international culture;
- It builds, sustains, and enhances personal relationships; and
- It celebrates through fun, interesting and educational events and experiences.

The Oxnard City Council adopted the brand plan, the Brand Leadership Committee as the lead on the project and a new city logo on Tuesday night July 12 at City Council meetings.
